20 talented photographers join forces to inspire your maternity photography .
(
along with an amazing community of fellow photographers)

The videos are pre-recorded so you don’t have to “show up live” at a specific time (so it works for all time-zones and all kinds of work schedules!) – and once released.  The videos stay up on our member site until May 15th, 2018.  (and to ensure you have them for life – you can download them!)

You’ll also receive an invite to the BONUS* private Facebook group where teachers will be answering questions about their topic until May 30th, 2017.  The group will then stay open until our next retreat so you can keep receiving support and advice from your fellow students. (so long as it remains a positive, drama-free zone!)

Teacher videos will range from 30-65 minutes.  Some will be video footage of the instructor in action showing specific posing and lighting techniques, while other topics will be presented in a slideshow or screenshare format.

For a full rundown of this amazing online event you can visit The Milky Way Website.

I’m so excited to finally share this beautiful photograph of Kim and her 5 gorgeous babies. In January I travelled over to Perth with Canon Australia to document this incredibly special time in the Tucci’s lives. I had a ball photographing them but couldn’t have done it without a little help – thank you Clare

The past 12 days have been nothing short of incredible!!! I’ve had so much fun here in London at my Newborn Photography Workshops! 7 full days of teaching, 9 babies photographed and 1 night spent with my English family in Widnes

I’m not sure I would have got through it without the help from my good friend and travel companion Garrett and my amazing host Russ Jackson Photography – I’m beyond grateful to you both.

The long flight back to Australia starts in a couple of hours and I’m pretty sure I’ll sleep the entire way.

Thank you to every newborn photographer that attended my classes, getting to know you has been an absolute privilege and if you’re waiting on a response to an email I promise to get back to you very soon. Kelly x

I’m back in Seattle  and ready to teach Baby Safety & Posing for Newborn Photographers tomorrow at CreativeLive!

And I’m excited to share that Stephanie Robin Photography – Newborn and Family Portraitist will be joining me as a special guest during tomorrows class I can’t wait!
Lets Make Safety A Priority And Put Clients At Ease!

1600

Parents hire newborn photographers to document every detail of their babies at that brief instant at the start of their lives when they are tiny, bright and new to the world. Newborn photographers can feel a lot of pressure to fulfill parents’ wishes. In the rush to capture the perfect shot, it’s easy to forget that the subject of these photos are incredibly fragile little beings. Safety should always come first.

Join ee for tips on handling newborns safely, reading their moods and needs, and prepping your studio for a newborn shoot. You’ll learn:

  • Safe posing techniques
  • How to operate a safe environment in your studio and on external shoots
  • How to understand newborn behavior

You’ll discover how to sanitize your studio, choose cleaning products and plants with the newborn’s health in mind, and make sure that your furniture and equipment meets newborn safety standards. I will also focus on safely posing and handling a newborn during the shoot. I will teach you how to execute poses like the Potato Sack, the Froggy pose, and other advanced techniques used to create composite images. You will learn about newborn anatomy and the environment they come from to help you better understand what they are capable of doing in a shoot setting: how to avoid imbalance, overheating, and injury.

Finally feel capable of communicating about newborn safety. If parents feel that they can trust you around their child, they will be put at ease and remember the experience of the shoot more fondly.
